Julia “Jill” B. (Berger) Yingst

Julia “Jill” B. (Berger) Yingst, 90, New Alexandria, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025, in Loyalhanna Senior Suites and Personal Care Home, Derry Twp.

She was born November 13, 1935 in New Alexandria. She was the daughter of late Paul and Lillian (Sheffler) Berger.

Prior to retirement Jill worked at Breeze Industrial Products in Tunnelton for 34 years. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and especially loved spending time with her friends and family. She had a life well-lived.  What we once enjoyed with her we can never lose, memories are timeless treasures.  

Besides her parents Jill is preceded in death by her loving husband Robert G. Yingst in 2001; four brothers Arthur, Eugene, John, and Paul Berger; and five sisters Lillian and Anna Berger, Alma Mae Harbridge, Alice Murphy, and Esther Wolcott.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation for Jill will be held 1-3 PM, Wednesday, December, 17, 2025 in the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, PA 15670, 724-668-2248.

A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 3 PM with the Pastor Tony Costa officiating.  

A private interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
